The process associated with the Protocol for Expedited Approvals is intended to enable universities to secure Quality Council approvals more efficiently for changes that are considered less wide-ranging than New Program Proposals. The Expedited Approvals Process applies to new Graduate Diplomas (Type2 and 3), and inter-institutional Dual Credential or Joint Degree programs with existing parent programs .

MCU Approvals
Programs with expedited approval may also require specific approval for funding from the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU). These processes for MCU approval can be followed in parallel with the Quality Assurance procedures. The MCU template is submitted to the MCU through the Office of the Vice-Provost Academic.
